About Hospice and Palliative Care

It can be overwhelming to try and understand your pet’s end of life needs, and provide the appropriate care. We are here to take each step through your pet’s end of life journey with you. We all want to minimize our pets’ stress, which is why we provide most of our hospice and palliative care in your home, with the help of telemedicine between home visits. Our team will partner with you to ensure your pet’s comfort and quality of life remains the number one priority.

Hospice care is provided in the context of a life-limiting illness to ensure patient-centered and home-centered care, and takes into account the goals and needs of our patients’ caregivers – YOU! Palliative care is a cornerstone of hospice, but it simply means to provide comfort care. Palliative care can be provided without hospice, but hospice cannot exist without palliative care. Palliative care can be offered in situations of chronic illness and chronic pain, without a terminal diagnosis. The goal of hospice and palliative care is for our pets to live as full a life as possible, whatever their circumstances!
