Palliative and hospice consultations are best conducted in the home environment in order to include an environmental assessment and to evaluate the pet in their most comfortable surroundings. Consultations can be provided in the clinic as well if preferred.

A full palliative and hospice consultation will include assessments of your pet’s physical health, social and mental well being, their environment, and will include your needs, beliefs and goals for their care in order to create a personalized care plan that you are able to implement at home. A plan for ongoing communication and support between yourselves and our hospice and palliative care team will be established that is tailored to your needs. Our goal is to ensure you have all the information and support you require to care for your pet at home, while keeping the commitments of the care plan and veterinary relationship practical for your situation.
